O monk, have you left your cell to fulfill your obedience?  Guard your senses vigilantly, lest thereby you introduce warfare into your soul and disturbance into your thoughts.  The wise monk, when he is sent to perform a service, will not carry with him words that occasion disturbance; whereas the monk who is incautious and untaught makes ready temptations for himself.
